harmonies

This is an old revision of the document!

:!: WORK IN PROGRESS! :!:

This page details how to author the Harmonies vocal chart, played by several people using multiple microphones. Before starting on this, you'll usually want to have the solo Vocals chart done first.

These are authored in the “HARM1”, “HARM2” and “HARM3” tracks, respectively.

-

Introduction

Harmonies are a separate way of playing Vocals, where up to three different people can sing at the same time.

HARM1 needs to be present no matter what, and is where you should put lead vocals in most cases. A lot of the time this will be very similar, or even identical, to the Solo Vocals chart.

HARM2 and HARM3 is where you'll add additional vocal parts that appears along with the lead, with their own separate note tubes that are colored differently; orange for HARM2 and yellow for HARM3.

Be sure you have a firm understanding of Vocals authoring before starting.

Harmonies-Specific Rules

:!: WORK IN PROGRESS! :!:

-

  • No percussion sections - Percussion should only appear on Solo Vocals. They work on Harmonies, but it becomes a hassle if you're used to Harmony charts not having them and trying to play Vocals and an instrument at the same time.
